Children's Christmas Shopping Day Planned: The Phillips Community of Christian Women will host the 5th annual Children's Christmas Shopping Day on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Avon Town Hall from 10 am - 2 pm.  Children will be met by Griffin the Clown and guided to the registration table where they will then be assigned a volunteer to help them shop for their families. No item is priced over $1.  All presents will be wrapped by the children and volunteers.  Santa Claus and Tabitha the Elf will visit and be available for picture taking.  Parents and grandparents will be "baby-sat" by Winona Davenport and served coffee, tea and treats with a story/and or a joke or two.  FMI:  call Barb @ 684-3394 or Fran @ 639-5937.
