Songs, humor and stories by Andre Villoch
National Singer-Songwriter Andre Villoch to perform benefit for Hurricane Victims On Saturday, November 24th at 8:00 PM at the Norway Grange on Whitman Street, Andre Villoch will give a benefit performance for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. There will be no admission charged, but donations are encouraged. If you haven’t seen Andre Villoch, you are in for a wonderful evening of song (mostly folk and “other”), humor, and story- telling. Most recently from the mid West where he has a huge faithful following, Andre now lives in the Oxford Hills and is becoming a fan favorite in Maine including at Open Mic at Tucker’s Pub. He has 3 albums to his credit which can be heard in twelve countries as well as on iTunes and Amazon. He is currently in the studio working on his fourth album after returning from a successful tour with rave reviews. Famed for his dynamic vocal range and vivacious onstage wit and charm, Andre is authentic, soulful, and gritty. His smooth burgundy voice captivates and reels in the listener. The Grange should provide the intimate feeling that brings audience and singer together as confidantes. Known for his lyrical prowess, Andre delivers satisfying melodies about life, love, and the allure of live music. With roots in opera, pop, gospel, bluegrass, and folk, his songs bear the mark of a rich heritage of musical inspiration. Andre was a sheer delight…..a voice full of honey and cream and a heart full of love and joy….” Grammy winner Paul Sullivan. Others have been heard to say: “…Then there’s the charisma thing: when Villock performs, he pulls the listener in with a laid-back, affable stage presence that gives him the vibe of a good friend.”….. “I know him. Love him. Love his music.” Andre’s melodies convey his real and honest desire to make the world laugh and inspire the human soul. Come and join in the fun while being entertained and at the same time helping the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The performance on Saturday evening is being sponsored by Occupy Oxford Hills and the Norway Grange. CD’s will be available for purchase.
