Deer Habitat for Small Landowners Please join the Small Woodland Owners Association of  Maine, the Maine Forest Service and MSAD #9 Adult Education for an informational session on managing your woodlot for Deer Habitat.  MEDIFW Wildlife Biologist Bob Cordes will speak on deer ecology and habitat, MFS District Forester Patty Cormier will speak on forest management relative to deer habitat, and Marcia Baker of the Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen’s Association will speak on their very successful program of creating and maintaining food plots for deer in the Rangeley area.  If you are looking for ideas on how to better manage for deer, this is for you.  The session will be held at the Farmington Middle School (around back, cafeteria entrance) on Middle Street at 5:30 p.m on November 20th.  This is a free workshop and open to all.  No need to pre-register.  Any questions, contact Patty Cormier at 592-2238 or e-mail patty.cormier@maine.gov.
