Community Table dinner
OXFORD COUNTY: The Community Table, located at The Progress Center in Norway, is pleased to announce the addition of Community Lunches. The lunches are served the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month from 11:00-12:30. There is no cost for the meal but donations are greatly appreciated. The Community Dinners are served from 4:30-6:00 on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month. Like the lunches, there is no cost for the meal but donations are greatly appreciated. The Progress Center undertook a 3 year project to raise the $240,000 needed to renovate an existing portion of their main building and install a full commercial kitchen. This project came about as it was obvious the employment situation within the greater Oxford Hills was worsening and our friends and neighbors were struggling. With the new commercial kitchen now a reality, the staff, individuals supported by the Center and a dedicated group of volunteers are able to plan, prepare, and serve approximately 200 per meal. Upon entering the dining room you’ll be greeted with a well lit, cheerful, clean dining facility staffed by well trained employees and volunteers. The menu varies but the quality, quantity, and friendly faces are always consistent. The building is handicap accessible and parking is available.
